NetPeek USB is a portable network discovery and port scanning tool that runs from a USB flash drive on Windows and Linux.

NetPeek USB — Local Network Scanner for Windows & Linux

NetPeek is a portable network analysis tool that runs directly from a USB flash drive, giving you visibility into what is connected to your network and identifying open ports that could represent potential security entry points. No installation required — just plug in, run, and get results. One licence, one USB drive, works on both Windows and Linux.

What is NetPeek?

NetPeek lists every device on your network — IP address, MAC address, hardware vendor and hostname — then flags the open ports on each one and highlights unknown devices worth investigating. It turns a network you cannot see into a clear, readable list in a few clicks.

Because it runs directly from the USB drive, it leaves no trace on the host machine and can be used across different systems without needing to install anything. A single drive and licence key works on both Windows and Linux PCs.

Features

NetPeek packs a full network toolkit onto one USB drive:

IP subnet scan (CIDR) — Enter any CIDR (e.g. 192.168.1.0/24) or leave blank for your local subnet

WiFi network scan — See the wireless networks available to you

Ping any IP — Standard diagnostic to check a device responds

DNS lookup — Resolve any type of DNS record

UDP port scan — Check standard UDP ports or one specific port on a device

Export to CSV — Save scan results to a CSV you can open in any spreadsheet

Offline vendor lookup — MAC addresses mapped to manufacturers from a bundled database; works with no internet

One licence, two platforms — The same USB drive runs on Windows 10/11 and Debian-based Linux

No admin rights required — Reads the OS ARP table after a parallel ping sweep; no raw sockets, no Nmap, no root

27 common ports checked on each device by default

Shipped preloaded on a USB flash drive — nothing to download, nothing to install

Why NetPeek instead of installing scanner tools?

Licence, trial and updates

30-day free trial: NetPeek includes a 30-day free trial built into the drive. Because it is a physical product that ships to you, refunds can be requested within 30 days before the licence is activated — once activated, or 30 days after delivery, it cannot be returned.

Updates: Updates to the version you purchase are included at no extra cost. When you upgrade to the next major version, current licence holders get a discounted upgrade price.

Works offline: Vendor lookups come from a bundled offline database, so NetPeek can scan and identify devices with no internet connection at all.

Who it is for

NetPeek is designed for IT professionals and network administrators who need quick, portable network diagnostics. It is equally useful for:

Routine network audits and inventory checks

Investigating unexpected devices or connections on a network

Checking for exposed ports before connecting a new machine to a network

On-site diagnostics where installing software is not practical

Anyone who wants visibility into their home or small-office network

Pricing and availability

NetPeek USB is available now. Members of the CritchCorp community can purchase a licence for £25* from the membership site. The store lists the regular price at £30.00.

For anyone selling on eBay, Etsy, Shopify, Facebook Marketplace, or any other platform, the gap between “I sold it for £X” and “I actually kept £Y” is where businesses live or die. Fees stack quietly — platform commissions, payment processing, regulatory charges, advertising levies, charity contributions, and the VAT that wraps around them all. QuickCalc is a desktop profit calculator built specifically to make that gap visible, itemised, and understood before the sale is ever committed.

QuickCalc was created by CritchCorp Computers Ltd for the real-world seller who is tired of estimating. Rather than a spreadsheet that has to be rebuilt for every listing, QuickCalc keeps the fee logic in one place and lets the seller focus on the numbers that matter: net sale, total costs, profit, margin, and the all-important break-even price.

Built for the way marketplaces actually charge

Most sellers know their platform takes “a fee,” but far fewer can say exactly how much after the category final-value fee, the per-item charge, the low-order threshold penalty, the regulatory fee, and the enforced advertising percentage are all applied. QuickCalc models each of these as a configurable input, defaulting to the values for the selected marketplace, so a seller starts from a realistic baseline rather than a blank form.

The calculator separates per-order fees from per-item fees, handles VAT on fees correctly (including the distinction between VAT-registered and non-registered sellers, and the special case of Royal Mail stamps, which carry no VAT), and rolls everything into a single profit and margin figure. It also computes the break-even price — the exact sale price at which a listing stops losing money — which is the single most usefulnumber a seller can know before pricing.

More than one calculator

QuickCalc is not a single screen. Alongside the main profit calculator, it bundles a set of focused mini-tools, each with its own built-in help:– VAT Tools — add or remove VAT from any figure instantly, useful for invoices and for checking how much tax sits inside a gross price.

– Margin Calculator — work backwards from a cost and a desired markup to a sale price and the resulting margin percentage.– Discount Calculator — see at a glance what a 5%, 10%, or 20% reduction does to a price, so a buyer’s “can you do a discount?” request can be answered with confidence.– Free Shipping Calculator — decide whether offering free postage still leaves a profit, and how much of the margin the postage would consume.

Each tool opens as a self-contained popup with a Help button that pulls the latest guidance from the server, so the advice never goes stale.

Help that travels with the app

A recurring frustration with software is documentation that lives on a website nobody bookmarks. QuickCalc takes a different approach: its Help, its per-tool guides, its End User Licence Agreement, and a running Announcements panel are all fetched live from the update server and cached locally. Open the calculator, click Help, and the current, correct instructions appear — even the next time the app is opened offline because the last-fetched copy is kept on disk. The home screen carries an Announcements box that updates automatically, and an Introduction button that walks a first-time user through the essentials.

Updates that don’t get in the way

QuickCalc updates itself in place. When a new version is available, the home screen shows exactly what the user has installed and what they would move to, then downloads and swaps the binary cleanly. The user reopens the app and is on the new version — no installer wizard, no manual file copying, no broken shortcuts. If something ever goes wrong, a built-in recovery tool can roll the app back to any previously known-good version directly from a terminal, and the recovery list is served from the server so it always reflects reality.

A trial you can actually try

QuickCalc is offered as a free trial, so a seller can put real numbers through it before committing. The trial is fully functional; it simply asks for activation once the evaluation period ends. Because the app is a single self-contained desktop binary, getting started means downloading it and running it — no account creation required just to look.

Who it’s for

QuickCalc suits the solo eBay trader working from home, the Etsy maker pricing handmade goods, the Shopify store operator juggling ad fees, and the reseller who needs to know, in seconds, whether a £40 item at a 15% enforced ad rate is worth listing. Home sellers who don’t charge or reclaim VAT get a simplified view; business sellers get the full VAT treatment. Either way, the output is the same: a clear, defensible profit figure instead of a guess.

Available now, with more to come

The Linux version of QuickCalc is available to download today as a free trial. Windows and Mac editions are imminent and will follow the same trial model, bringing the same fee-accurate profit view to those platforms. Sellers who start on Linux now will find the experience carries straight across when their preferred platform lands.

Getting started

The fastest way to see QuickCalc in action is to download the free trial and run a sale you’ve already made through it — then compare its profit figure to what you thought you earned. For most sellers, that comparison is the moment the tool pays for itself.

Download the free trial directly from the CritchCorp website.

Download Free Trial

https://quickcalcdownload.cc-computers.com

Once installed, click Calculator, pick a marketplace, enter the fees, and press Calculate. Within seconds, you’ll see your net sale, total costs, profit, margin, and break-even price — the complete picture, every time.
